When I first checked out this video, I thought I knew what to expect. There seem to be a lot of campaigns about women and positive body image going around these days. But this is something different.
It goes so beyond our bodies. (Full disclosure, I lost it a bit right around the 1:46 mark.) You really need to watch the video to see what I mean, and I really hope that you’ll do just that.
Take 2 minutes to watch it, and then take another 20 seconds to share it with your mama friends, your sisters, your mothers, and also your daughters.
What did I tell you? Pretty great, right? All of the stories in the video touched me but the one with the attractive older lady with the grey hair – gah!!
I think what got me so much about that one was that it wasn’t just her family paying tribute. It was an incredible example of the importance women friends of all ages play in each others’ lives.

Am I giving them all what they need? Am I paying enough attention? Am I still the person I used to be before kids? Am I enough?!
I’m posting this shot taken after an especially sleepless night with baby M to remind myself that I am… I’m getting up each day and giving my kids, my hubby, and myself my best and because of that #imENOUGH.
As women in their late thirties/early forties, songs about teenage heartbreak and wild nights clubbing weren’t things they could relate to. They decided to write about their own lives – like the challenge of juggling a career, marriage, motherhood and friendships, while still trying to maintain their own identity.
That’s something to be celebrated in itself and I guarantee you’ll like the music too (in fact, it may just be stuck in your head for the rest of the day – so be prepared).
