Super simple mummy luminaries

DIY Mummy Luminaries

Hi friends.  Before the week comes to an end, I just wanted to say thanks for all of your sweet words regarding our big announcement and baby #3.  I’m so excited that the word is finally out so I can freely discuss the new baby with you all.

One of the big things around here that baby will have an impact on is The Forever Home Project. As we’re setting up rooms, I’m finding myself back in the familiar position of looking for ways to hide away baby toys and to keep everything baby-proof.  And, although I haven’t shared much here yet, I’m happy to report that progress is being made.

We’re finally getting new carpet on the stairs and in the family room tomorrow (sound the trumpets) to replace what was some truly worn out (and just strange) existing flooring.  I’ve also been working with the lovely Janette of Sun + Dotter to pull together an inviting space for the whole family – can’t wait to share what we’ve come up with you guys soon!

I also wanted to announce that I’m once again taking part in the Zparents facebook chat next Wednesday, October 16th at 9am PST/12 pm EST.  Last month’s back-to-school chat was a huge success (my fingers were flying the entire 90 minutes) and I can’t wait to dish with you all on festive, creative family fun for the holiday season.  And speaking of the holidays, check out these happy little mummy luminaries I made for the eHow craft channel this week.

Happy weekend!
