mindful living, effortless style

Oh Target, You’ve Done it Again

I’m off to the Bay Area this weekend for a wedding. (I can’t wait to drive across the Golden Gate Bridge.) The hubby and I won’t be there long but we’ll have two mornings to explore so if anyone has good breakfast or brunch recommendations in the city, please share!

Before I go, I wanted to share with you some exciting news that popped up in my inbox the other day – Nate Berkus has arrived at Target.  Yippee!  I just love Nate’s laid back, bohemian style and I was so sad when his show got cancelled (and not just because I was secretly plotting to get on it somehow).

I’ve got plans to spend the evening combing over his collection once I’m back (you have to act fast at the ever popular Tar-jay).  Here’s a link to all his offerings in case you’d like to do the same.

And while you’re visiting Target, might as well check out their latest deal: Apparel Clothing Event – Spend $75, Save 20% at Target.com.  I’m loving their 15 must-haves, especially numbers 2, 3, and 12!

Tights and leggings are on sale too.  I just started wearing tights and now I’m a total convert.  They do such a good job of keeping me toasty warm and how great is it to get to wear fun dresses without having to worry about how your legs look?

Have a great weekend!

We Canadians can start shopping at Target in a few short months. I can’t wait! (When we vacationed in San Francisco last year we had amazing dim sum at Tom Kiang in the Richmond district – not cheap, but highly recommended!)

Zazie in SF. If you’re crossing the GGB, check out Le Garage in Sausalito. Or take a ferry from SF to Tiburon! It’s going to be a beautiful weekend and eating with full views of the city will be fantastic!

I love Sears for breakfast (on Powell, always a line but worth it). Hyde Street Raw bar and Fish house is great for dinner. Also Little Italy has some great options. Enjoy your trip!

I second The Grove – one of my faves. More casual, but so good.

Ella’s Restaurant also really good for brunch

If you like garlic, The Stinking Rose is a must try! The Bagna Calda is amazing.
