As a mom, it’s so hard to imagine not being able to properly feed your children. I love this collaboration between Feeding America and Juicy Juice to put thirty five million pieces of fruit into the hands of children in need over the next 3 months.
Nestle Juicy Juice, Feeding America, and celebrity mom and anti-hunger advocate Samantha Harris team up to fight childhood hunger with the Juicy Juice Fruit For All Project.
June through August 2012, one piece of fruit will be provided to children and families in need each time JUICY JUICE is purchased.
An estimated 16 million American children are food insecure and lack access to nutritious foods. Juicy Juice will become part of the solution this summer by helping to provide up to 35 million pieces of fruit to those who need it most.
In addition to contributing with Juicy Juice purchases, families can participate in online challenges at FruitForAllProject.com or Facebook.com/JuicyJuiceUSA and help provide even more fruit. Juicy Juice also encourages families to volunteer with their local food bank, local feeding agency, or any organization combating hunger
Summer is an especially vital time for families in need since kids aren’t in school, where many of them get their most nutritious meals. Watch the video and visit the link at the end to help. (Don’t miss the opportunity to take a simple 5 question hunger quiz and donate a piece of fruit to a child in under a minute.)
