St. Paddy's Day Projects

Unbelievably, tomorrow's the first day of March.  Despite my whining about the snow, it kind of caught me by surprise.  In fact, the only reason I noticed was because a few of my St. Paddy's Day projects from last year have started to re-surface on Pinterest.  That's yet another great thing about Pinterest, it's a spot-on barometer of what the masses want.  And if Leprechauns and rainbows are it - who am I to argue?

I'll have a few fresh projects this year as well, but today I wanted to share some of my greatest hits from 2011.  First is a fun DIY temporary tattoo, because there's little that kids love more than press-on tattoos and getting to hide stuff under their shirt.  Check out the original post for instructions and a free printable (which can also be used to make stickers).  Also, if you have older kids, why not consider encouraging them to design their own version on the computer?

Second is a small limerick scavenger hunt I put together for momtastic.  This is actually the very first post I wrote as a contributor there and, nearly a year later, it's still one of my favorites.  I'm not sure yet if Leprechaun Pete will become an annual fixture in our home but he's definitely making another appearance this year.  Again, see the original post for the free printables.

UPDATE: Readers were having trouble downloading the templates from the original post so I made fresh links that should work.  See below and sorry for the inconvenience!

Do you do anything especially fun to commemorate St. Patrick's Day (corned beef and cabbage anyone?) or do you slip on some green and call this one good?

P.S. Only 1 more day until we embark on the next phase of "Project Organize Your ENTIRE Life" - mark your calendars, the meal plan is coming tomorrow!
