Learning Through Play

To say I’m not a fan of structured academics for young children would be an understatement (those “teach your baby to read” commercials make me throw up in my mouth a little).  But that doesn’t mean I’m not in favor of learning.  Following a child’s lead and introducing basic concepts into favorite playtime activities can be a great way to to learn at home.

(And P.S. –  just so you know, C is a pretty lean guy.  When I take pics of him right after lunch his belly fills up and out creating a little Buddha effect.  Which is exactly what happened in that post – ha!)
